Event #2 - FINALLY!

[The Wish]
As you awaken from that unsettling dream, you realize that something has shifted in your reality. It's not the exact wish you had hoped for; rather, it seems someone mischievous has put their own spin on it. Now, you're left wondering what to do next. Could this alteration have dire consequences? If the aftermath is as dreadful as it seems, it might be time to rally Team Good and brainstorm a solution together.

[Research]
You wake up with a clear memory of last night's dream, grateful that it hasn't slipped away into the abyss of forgotten thoughts. Perhaps you've even shared the strange tale with someone else, only to find eerie similarities to a dream they recounted. In each story, there's a recurring character—an impish demon with leathery skin and sharp teeth, purportedly in the business of granting wishes. Could this mischievous creature be the culprit behind the strange twists in your dreamscape?

A quick delve into the annals of slayer's tomes confirms your suspicions: this troublesome entity is known as a djinn. With this revelation, the pieces of the puzzle start falling into place.

[Restore]
The djinn isn't content with just haunting your dreams anymore; now, it's out and about, prowling the places you know, wearing the faces of those you recognize. Its aim? To torment and tease you as you struggle to navigate the twisted manifestations of your wishes. It's becoming increasingly evident that this troublesome imp must be dealt with.

Despite its supernatural origins, the djinn shares vulnerabilities akin to those of humans, albeit with the exception of longevity. However, it compensates for this with its cunning shapeshifting abilities, adept at masquerading as a friend when, in reality, it's an adversary lurking in disguise.

[ The Wish ]

Emerging with an irrepressible zeal that rivals the vivacity of a supernova, Fred strides forth from the yawning maw of the elevator, her voice, a symphony of Texan twang and scholarly enthusiasm, resounding in the cavernous lobby of the Hyperion Hotel. Beside her, a Slayer, her patience seemingly stretched to its elastic limit, indulges Fred's exuberance with a bemused half-smile.

"I could’ve taken him," she proclaims, her words brimming with a blend of bravado and genuine belief, her gaze flickering with the memory of recent skirmishes. "No, really! He was pint-sized, practically pocket-sized, just a bundle of teeth and terror. And speaking of size, for a Slayer, you're not exactly towering. I mean, I've got you beat in the height department!" Fred's grin threatens to engulf the entire room as the Slayer, accustomed to such banter, simply rolls her eyes and departs.

Undeterred by the Slayer's departure, Fred saunters into the heart of the hotel's communal space, her presence a beacon of boundless enthusiasm. With hands cupped around her mouth, she unleashes a declaration that echoes off the walls, her voice a clarion call to all within earshot.

"Anyone else dream of a bitty demon? I’M on the case!" Pride swells within her like a balloon on the cusp of bursting, every fiber of her being radiating the certainty that when Fred Burkle is on the prowl, the mundane gives way to the extraordinary. Or perhaps just the wacky.
