She raises her eyebrows as she listens to him list off his impressive but, admittedly, mostly outdated experience. Relieved her veering off the previous subject seems to be working, she relaxes a bit and shrugs.
"Um, lame shit. Mostly waitressing and bartending. I do some, uh..." she stalls again, her cheeks flushing. "I write songs sometimes, and I used to play at parties and stuff back home, but that's not really a thing here, I guess."
Mack stares down at her coffee, a moment of reflection for the old life she left behind before she shakes it off. "Some of the stuff you did was cool at least. And you could have totally made a living fixing saddles back where I'm from."
