She likes Jack well enough as you can off a first impression, but she's also starting to wonder if she's lost the ability to have normal human conversations. So she would have to learn to tread a lot more carefully.
"Found myself out of work pretty dramatically so it's either this," she gestures to the newspaper, "or hours in the library finding something online. The library doesn't have free coffee." She pokes at her sandwich, considering another bite, before settling on another sip of coffee. "How about you? Anything non-cemetery-related excitement in your life?"
